Go is part of the Sweet Nothings series — a collection of poetic risograph prints combining original typewritten reflections with quiet, colourful forms.
New for June 2026, this risograph was born after a month of lethargy. It’s a reflective piece that call you to use the last of the energy you have to go anyway and ask the universe to ‘show me how good it can get’. Quiet the negative thoughts and just go. Do the thing, try the thing - feel some joy.
Printed using the risograph process, each layer of colour is applied separately, resulting in subtle shifts, textures and slight misregistrations that give every print a unique, tactile quality.

Go is part of the Sweet Nothings series — a collection of poetic works that transform everyday objects into quiet reflections on being human.

Where much of the series asks you to slow down and notice, Go is the gentle push. Good things rarely arrive at a closed door, so this is a reminder to turn up, say yes, and give luck somewhere to find you.
Printed by hand in a small edition at Sonsoles Print Studio in Peckham, each piece carries slight variations that speak to the process of making — subtle shifts in ink, pressure and texture that make every print unique. The yellow-to-orange blend in particular moves differently from print to print.
Inspiration
The Sweet Nothings series began with an exploration of language and small, intimate moments — fragments of thought captured on familiar, often overlooked surfaces.
Go is about the hopeful half of uncertainty. "Potentially" is the important word: nothing is promised, but nothing happens if you stay put. It can be read as encouragement, permission, or a note to self on the days when going is the hard part.

A two-layer screenprint exploring identity through connection. The idea that who we are is shaped as much by the love we've given and received as by anything we choose alone. Starting it's life as a sweet bag in a type writer, the screenprint shares enlarged hand-typed text sitting within bold red stripes and a halftone dot border, printed in two layers of red and pink.

Description
Arrived is part of the Sweet Nothings series — a collection of poetic works that transform everyday objects into quiet reflections on being human.
A neon pink striped paper bag sits on a bed of loose, splashy cyan, edged in yellow and framed by a pale blue border. Typed across the stripes:
"We have made such ridiculous decisions and somehow arrived at unreasonable joy."
This is the largest and most limited piece in the series so far. At 50 x 70 cm the text has room to breathe, and the four layers build up a depth of colour that shifts as you move around it.
Each print was pulled by hand in an edition of just seven. The textured cyan layer in particular falls differently on every sheet, so no two are the same.

The Sweet Nothings series began with an exploration of language and small, intimate moments — fragments of thought captured on familiar, often overlooked surfaces.
Arrived looks back rather than forward. It's for the wrong turns, the leaps that made no sense at the time, and the unexpected happiness that came from them anyway. It's a celebration of the unplanned route, and a gentle reminder that joy doesn't have to be reasonable to be real.

Sweet Nothings are a collection of original poetic art prints designed and written by Emily Grenville-Grey for moments of reflection, thoughtful gifting, and everyday tenderness.
Starting life as poems written onto sweet packets with a typewriter, Emily then expands them into risograph, screenprints, cyanotypes and beyond!

Description
"Intuition" reads:
"Your intuition is weary of you overlooking your feelings."
This is the first print in Sweet Everythings — a new, larger-format companion to the original Sweet Nothings series. Where those held the small things I could say out loud, these hold the ones I mostly keep to myself: quieter, harder to hand to someone else, less "giftable." The words are printed so faintly they ask you to come closer — a private note you have to choose to read.
Inspiration
This one came from a familiar kind of tiredness — the sort that shows up when you keep talking yourself out of what you already know. It's less an instruction than a gentle nudge: your intuition isn't gone, it's just worn out from being ignored.
A Note on This Print
This is a test print — the first time this design has been run at this size, on this paper, with this finish. Whether the rest of the Sweet Everythings series goes ahead depends on how this one is received, so it's priced as a one-off rather than a full edition.
Future prints in the series will be £160.
