Description
Go is part of the Sweet Nothings series — a collection of poetic works that transform everyday objects into quiet reflections on being human.
A striped paper bag, glowing yellow and orange, is set on a neon pink ground and framed by a blue halftone border. Typed across the stripes:
"Go put yourself into the path of potentially good things."
Where much of the series asks you to slow down and notice, Go is the gentle push. Good things rarely arrive at a closed door, so this is a reminder to turn up, say yes, and give luck somewhere to find you.
Printed by hand in a small edition at Sonsoles Print Studio in Peckham, each piece carries slight variations that speak to the process of making — subtle shifts in ink, pressure and texture that make every print unique. The yellow-to-orange blend in particular moves differently from print to print.
Inspiration
The Sweet Nothings series began with an exploration of language and small, intimate moments — fragments of thought captured on familiar, often overlooked surfaces.
Go is about the hopeful half of uncertainty. "Potentially" is the important word: nothing is promised, but nothing happens if you stay put. It can be read as encouragement, permission, or a note to self on the days when going is the hard part.
